What We Inspect & Service

Fire extinguishers.
Our team checks pressure, weight, seals, hoses and mounting, then cleans, inspects and re-tags each unit. Pressure testing is carried out when it falls due, not left for the next contractor.

Fire hose reels.
Reels are run out, tested for flow and pressure and checked for perished hose or damaged nozzles. A reel left tangled won't deploy quickly when someone needs it.

Fire blankets.
We inspect the pouch, release tabs and the blanket itself for contamination, scorching or damage. Anything that can't be relied on is replaced rather than re-tagged.

Supply and installation.
Where equipment is missing, expired or beyond economical repair, we supply the correct type for the risk. Getting the class of extinguisher right matters as much as having one.

The Australian standard sets a six-monthly routine service for portable extinguishers, with more detailed checks at longer intervals and pressure testing every five years for most types. The date of each service is recorded on the tag attached to the unit.
Servicing keeps a unit in working order through inspection, testing and minor repair, and most extinguishers can be maintained this way for years. Replacement becomes necessary when a cylinder fails pressure testing, has corroded, or is no longer the right type for the risk it's covering.
There's no statutory servicing requirement for equipment in a private home, but an extinguisher or blanket that's never been checked may not work when it's needed. An annual inspection is enough to confirm pressure, condition and that the unit is still within its service life.
